This Spring, I've been invited back to speak again to the annual national convention of the United States Institute of Technical Theatre on the topic of
A.I. Design Tools and Generative / Procedural Design.
Last year A.I. tools had just exploded onto the scene, and mind-blowing, startling capabilities were popping up as quickly as panicked dialogue on its potential infuence. This year, the tools have only accelerated, while industry and institutions have begun to develop workflows to empower creativity. Yet the ethics and legality discussions are still very far from consensus.
